In our aesthetically driven world, it is important for every aspect of our lives to look as best as it can possibly be. One small way to achieve this is through powder coating. Powder Coating technique is the newest method to produce coating finishes on objects without the use of solvents. Instead of solvent based paint, electronically charged powders are sprayed on surfaces and heated to usually metallic objects to produce a relatively hard, abrasion resistant and tough surface. The powders are produced by using a mixture of thermoplastic or thermo-set polymer, aluminum, medium density fiberboards, fusion-bonded epoxy or acrylic polymer granules and pigment powder. They are all heated in an extruder and then rolled flat to be cooled. The cooled results are then broken in to many pieces and milled to be powdered.

To apply the powder, you would have to utilize an electronic gun that sprays the electrically charged powder on to the surface of the object. You can choose to select different powder coating guns. The corona charging gun uses electricity. The tribo charging uses friction. The bell charging gun flings the powder to the perimeter of the bell to produce the charge.

After spraying the object, you place it on top of a powder coating oven. Depending on the capacity of your production, you can use an oven that allows you to add customizable compartments for bigger production capacity. You can set the production rate and curing cycle and set the layout requirement. You can customize the installation to allow single pass or multi-pass.

You can attach all this equipment to a fully automated powder coating system. Having a fully automated system, you can have a more efficient production line which can cut down on your waste disposal cost, and reduce the energy consumption of your company. You can also provide just-in time production which lowers down your inventory, and in turn, lowering down your cost.
